What should I read next?
After a long, busy day all you want to do is go home and relax. We thought trying to get a
Kim K booty was difficult, but it turns out trying to unwind after a hard day is equally impossible.
There are 3 rules in life which I swear by and they are called
The 3 B's: Listening and worshiping B, having a hot bubbly Bath and reading a fricking amazing Book.
Books which you should totally check out:
To Kill a Mockingbird - Starting off with the most obvious choice. This novel is known for it's warmth and humour, despite dealing with the serious issues of rape and racial inequality. It's written by Harper Lee, and it was immediately successful when published in 1960 - It's even Victoria Beckham's fav novel.
Animal Farm - This is something I studied in English Literature for my GCSE's, and unlike algebra, it's one of the things I remember! The book reflects events leading up to the Russian Revolution of 1917 and then on into the Stalinist era of the Soviet Union - this is all portrayed through animals on a farm. It's not as weird as it sounds - I promise!
*please excuse the whole "back in my day" moment.
The Alchemist - A magical story about a shepherd boy who travels in search for treasure. This short story has the power to inspire nations and change people's lives. If you need to be inspired, then this short story is the one for you.
Fifty Shades of Grey - For all you saucy devils out there, this is an erotic romance novel. It's about the relationship between a college graduate, Anastasia Steele, and a young business magnate, Christian Grey. Now this one has mixed reviews, it's a bit like Marmite - ya love it, or you hate it. I personally feel that the book is better than the film.
*Note to self: Don't watch the film with your parents.
Me Before You - My heart breaks writing this title. I could literally not put down this book or for that matter - the box of tissues. It's a deeply emotional and insightful novel. That's all I'll be saying.
So there we go! A few ideas on what you Bomb Babes can read next.
